Can we not express our thoughts
to the few we so dearly love
in the short time that we are alotted
from the Father who art above
We ploy and plot to hurt each other
again and again it's done
the price we pay to get ahead
even some times for fun
The hurt we cause, the words we use
and the lies we tell in vain
if only we could stop a spell
and see how we cause pain
So I say these words
to those that hear
and to those
that have no fear
Just stop hurting each other
one by one, reduce the amount of sorrow
and love each other without effort
hopefully for a brighter tomorrow.
