My life a view through many various windows
No matter the shelter; the view was always the same
Weathered by time, all beauty gradually fades
Still one constant of that view remains….
Windows allow us to see the natural order of things
The change of colors
Between the leaves of life and death
Sunrises and sunsets
As the trees and we ourselves are shaped
By the winds
Growing knotted and crooked with time
Our days on earth are all but penciled in….
With few words adequate enough to describe
My love; my rock….
Worn smooth by tearful joy and pain
Still there,
Long after the trees have all been cleared
