“Next, what kind of miracle
Jesus will show the people? ”
This was up in their mind.
They were curious to find.
Never, he was left alone,
But surrounded by men,
Who were ready to listen,
His every moral lesson.
This happened one day,
When Jesus, on his way,
Met some fisher folks
Near the Galilee lake.
He saw one Simon Peter,
Who was standing in water,
And an empty fishing net,
That was lying in his boat.
He told Simon, “Go ahead.
Push your boat forward.
You’ll catch your fish,
As much as you wish.”
“Master, ” Simon replied,
“All the night, we worked.
Not a single fish, we caught.
Empty net only we brought.”
“Yet, to obey your word,
Again we’ll go forward,
With you, in the boat,
And cast down the net.”
This time, Simon got,
Fish in the net, a lot,
Easily they couldn’t pull,
The net that was full.
On his knees, down he fell,
And then he began to tell,
“Master, I’m a sinful man
Having doubted your plan.”
Partners, Andrew, James, John,
Who came along with Simon,
Were amazed at this scene,
This kind never before seen
To the four, Jesus said,
“Do not be afraid.
You’ll, from now on,
Catch not fish, but men.”
They docked their boat,
Threw away their net,
And went behind Jesus,
As his true followers.
