A star in my sky I look at every night
I gaze through my window while holding my pillow tight
I wish upon this star shining ever so brightly and clear
To bring happiness into the heart of the one I hold dear.
I wish upon this star to show my love the way
To turn her dreams into reality for each and every day
I want to see her happy, I want to see her smile
For everywhere she goes in life it would be worth each and every mile.
I want to share her laughter, I want to share her tears
So we may cherish one another through each and every year
I want to share her passion for life, I want to feel her pain
For anytime she feels down in life sunshine may chase away her rain.
I want to give her protection, I want to show my true devotion
With each other we may feel the joy of all our deepest emotions
I want to hold her heart gently in the depths of my soul
So we may journey in this life together with a love so pure and whole.
