Who woke me up into this dream,
Planting this into the earth?
Who is dangling my soul
Above these dark waters
And who taught me how to hate?
Who drugged me
Into being scared of my reflection?
Who brought this into my world
And is turning me into someone else,
Who killed the little child in me
And taught me how to behave in public?
Who taught me about war,
Who was it that loved throughout it all
And is giving us hope?
Who planted these seeds
To make us think they will sprout
Beanstalks to cities in the heavens?
