I had been gone,
So long.
I didn't know it...
Until it dawned on me,
Never there will be...
Another 'we'.
For us to see,
Again.
Gone!
You left,
And I went on.
Wondering if I...
Should have tried harder,
To show
My love much more.
Now that it seems
You have
Even the score.
It will never be the same without you near.
I want to hear you,
Say it's me you need too!
The atmosphere
Is not fresh or clear.
Your smile lit the room.
I want it to light,
This gloom
From my sight.
But,
You are
Gone!
I wish my heart I could pawn.
I don't need it beating,
A beat.
I have no place to keep it,
Since
You're gone.
And I can't ignore...
I was wrong!
I'll never have what you gave in the past.
Now I'll hunger forever,
That 'us' we had together.
But you...
And I are,
Gone!
