The unclassified document is a training strategy for military operatives to protect the general population in the unlikely event of an outbreak that turns people, or other living things, into flesh eating zombies.
It lays out three important steps that include maintaining a defensive perimeter, offensively eradicating the zombie threats, and helping civil authorities restore law and order after a mass panic that would surely be caused by the aftermath of such an event.
The people who came up with the training exercise wrote: “Planners ... realized that training examples for plans must accommodate the political fallout that occurs if the general public mistakenly believes that a fictional training scenario is actually a real plan...We elected to use a completely-impossible scenario that could never be mistaken for a real plan.”
Written in April of 2011, the plan includes defensive measures against zombie chickens, extraterrestrial zombies, and pathogenic zombies in a range of populated or non-populated areas, along with references to zombie popular culture.
For example, instead of demanding brains, the document says vegetarian zombies will want grains.
