This was a Victor studio band, often consisting of largely the same members, who also played in other Victor house orchestras like The Troubadours, The Serenaders, The Manhattan Merrymakers, The Virginians and Hugo Frey's Orchestra. Hence, personnel is not easily identifiable. However, it seems it was was directed primarily by Hugo Frey, a pianist who formerly worked for the Joseph C. Smith band. Who-ever is playing, this is an excellent performance, recorded in 1922.
