Anti-war protesters rally in St. Petersburg to denounce Russia's plan to invade Ukraine.
(SOUNDBITE) (Russian) ANTI-WAR PROTESTER, STEFANIA KULAYEVA, SAYING:
"We came here with this banner because we believe that the military intervention in Crimea is like the Anschluss, an absolute disgrace for our country. We are against it. We want to state that we are totally against Russia deploying its troops - again - in other countries."
Protesters holding a banner that read "We are for peace" were stripped of their poster, and taken away.
This man suffered from a nosebleed after clashes broke out with supporters of the plan.
As police urged protesters to disperse, arguments ensued.
