An old creditor has recently filed a suit against him and the hearing is this upcoming October 1st. He plans to go in to contest the debt, but I expect him to lose. In the case that a judgment is won against him, how fast can the creditor use this judgment to place a lien on my friend's checking account beginning with the day the judgment is won? This is for the state of Texas.
