He left his job - went into rehab - is doing well now and has a job. However, we are late with March's two mortgage payments (we paid April) but are just trying to catch up. It will take awhile plus the IRS says we owe like a total of $12,000 from previous years. My husband is out of state training for his new job and some guy from the civil court is knockin on the door to serve him papers from past credit card companies. He has called them to let them know he wont be home til end of May. Should we get a lawyer? I thought about divorcing, having him declare bankruptcy--but he is really doing well now with AA and has great suppportors; has turned to his Higher Power & is making a real honest effort to change. What to do? we both now have jobs but have a lot of catch up to do. -
