He stopped paying the mortgage in November of 09 and never told me. (I haven't lived on the property for 2 1/2 years) Since then, he has lost his job, and is unable to pay the mortgage. Since my credit (and his) is jacked!
Keep in mind, my ex is not the most responsible person (not hard to figure out)
The facts:
- I am unable financially to take the condo over.
- I didn't know about his not paying untill Feb 10'
- I had excellent credit untill this happened
My question to all of you is:
* Should we give the condo back to the bank? Is that foreclosure?
* Should we do a short sale? (If we do this I am concerned I will be left with the debt)
* Is there another option?
