In Yonghe, a squirrel was found dead under a wire pole after the area around Ting Hsi Elementary School experienced a temporary power outage. Neighbors saw one of the wire poles on fire after hearing an explosion. Fire fighters came and found the corpse of the squirrel at the scene. Since several wire poles were located close to trees at the school, local fire department officials said the squirrel might have mistaken the poles as tree trunks and climbed onto them.
