Just a fun family video of part of our adventure on the Fundy Trail in St. Martins, New Brunswick. I had not planned to shoot the hike, but we decided to dig out out the camera and capture glimpses of our day in this beautiful part of our province. Long before the development of the autoroute and amenities that now make up the Fundy Trail, I would camp here with in scouts and sometimes with just our dads. We had the run of the whole salmon river valley as it winds it way throught a steep forrested valley with crystal clear and frigid, fast moving waters. The series of salmon pools empty into the Bay of Fundy at the mouth of the river, and you can see the reminants of a once booming logging settlement along the river. The area even boast the presence of a fishing lodge that once beloged to the self-made American media baron, William Randolph Hearst. This video does not capture the grand views of coast line that can be viewed from the road-side lookouts and rest areas. Perhaps those will be in a future video.
