Journal #3 Camp Nightlife

2009-06-16 0 0 Vimeo

Team member Alvaro del Campo captures camp nightlife in all its glory as scientists catalog the day’s finds, prepare specimens, and munch on some rather questionable meals—all by the light of headlamps. This is the third installment in a five-part series of video journals documenting the team’s daily life and field work during their expedition. Alvaro is a conservation scientist and logistic coordinator for The Field Museum’s Rapid Inventory program, which brings together biological and social information to create a roadmap for practical, long-lasting, and locally-supported conservation. During October of 2008, the team surveyed the Cuyabeno-Güeppí region where Ecuador, Peru, and Colombia meet. Be sure to check out Journal Entry #4 “Snakes!”.
