We discovered Maldives feel a like in Indonesia, namely Karimun Jawa, a small archipelago in the Java Sea. We stayed in a floating lodge where we swam with the sharks in their very own shark breeding pool. Went to 5-6 uninhabited islands: Kecil, Tengah, Menjangan Besar, Menjangan Kecil, Ujung Gelam, Cemara Kecil and Spot Gosong (literally not an island but a lump of silky white sand!). It was magical!
