10-year-old Jasmine dreads the frequent occasions when her mother, Nina, finds a new fling. This time Nina has left town with a new boyfriend, dropping Jasmine off to stay at a friend’s house. When Jasmine calls the phone number Nina left her only to find it is a disconnected number, she realizes that Nina has forgotten about her again and won’t be coming back for a while. Awkward but determined, Jasmine searches for someone else to become Mom.
