Mit ungewöhnlichen Stilmitteln führt die Reihe Künstler und Gemälde vor, die in einer bestimmten Epoche eine Grenze überschritten, die etwas darstellten, was es vorher so nicht gab. Geschichte, Kunst, Religion und Politik greifen hier aufs Allerschönste ineinander, denn jedes Kunstwerk ist das Produkt seiner Zeit. Mit Tricks, Witz und ohne gelehrte Worte, neugierig, assoziativ und schnell bewegen wir uns gemeinsam mit einem Könner (Comiczeichner Jan Neidigk) und einem Kenner (Kunsthistoriker Florian Heine) der Kunst durch die Jahrhunderte. When is it depicting naked and when is it depicting nudity? What about the development of portrait painting and photography? The series shows artists and their work that crossed a line by presenting something which had never been done before. “THE FIRST TIME – Innovations in Art”: a crazy journey trough art history with unusual stylistic elements. In an unconventional approach, associative chains and transitions between images and themes come fast and furious, with quick jumps between the past and the present. We mix past masters with modern media and with everyday life. The series is being moderated by time traveler Jan Neidigk, a comic-strip artist armed with practical skills in art and with huge curiosity. His Co-pilot Florian Heine, art historian and author of the book “The first time – Innovations in Art”, leads him with enthusiasm and background knowledge. Art isn’t created in a vacuum – it can be an expression of political power, of religion, of worldview, of scientific advancements and societal development.
