Milky Way setting on Mount Barney

Two weeks ago I went on top of Mount Barney East Peak to capture this timelapse of the setting Milky Way. I ascended the mountain via the South East ridge. Although I knew the ascent would be hard and arduous, I was not quite prepared for the vertical rock scrambles at the very top) If you have photography in mind, I would not recommend this route unless you are also after a challenging climb. Take the traditional South Ridge route instead. The moon was at 33.5% and is a little bit too bright for my liking. I was supposed to be there the night before when the moon was at 23.9% but due to logistics, unfortunately, it did not happen. The night was clear but after sunset the winds at the summit rose to 70 km/h. Having set up the tripod and started the sequence, the wind became so strong that I was worried my camera would blow over. You can see I had to weigh down the tripod with my camera bag as the framing slightly changes in the beginning of the timelapse. The sequence was taken over 4.5 hours with my Canon 6D and Sigma 14mm F1.8 lens ISO 1600 @ 30 secs exposure.
