On November 11th, Allston artists K8 Howl and Jak Ritger completed a temporary installation in the Ward Parking lot, adjacent to Mass Art’s Artist Residence. Us Them pokes fun at the binary choices we are forced to make each day. Momentary decisions can divide us even in niches and sub groups. Each parking lot space mocks these subconscious voices with the labels “Us” or “Them.” The intention is to create an imaginary game everyone can take part in. Created with chalk spray paint the piece will gradually wash away throughout the next couple weeks. See it before it’s gone!
