I was the director and promo producer for this shoot with the wonderful Erika Heynatz. It went from a concept in my head of using Erika's voice under show vision to becoming a full scale character shoot on set in 'Summer Bay' introducing her as the new girl, Charlotte. The running theme we went with was 'Charlotte's Web'. Lines like "don't get caught in Charlotte's Web" carried throughout the series and her 'murder' was one of the highest rating episodes of the year due to continued strong character development in promos. The murder mystery was also the launch theme for the following year 'Who Shot Charlotte', which I also cut and directed shoot footage for - which was used in all the app and digital promotions. This was one of a few shoots with Erika over the year she was on the show, & I can honestly say, she was such a legend to work with.
